Where in Europe should I go for spring break? My old friend from elementary school (at Oxford) and I are gonna do a big trip. So far here's what were considering: Paris, Brussels, Munich, Prague, Vienna, Florence, Switzerland.

SPAIN SPAIN I VOTE SPAIN. If you do hit up spain (which you should because it's super sweet) I recommend Madrid as a city, and Galicia for a nice bit of countryside. There are also a million small towns with laundry hanging between the windows and old men smoking cigars in doorways. But all the cities you listed sound amazing as well.

As much as it pains me to say this, I agree with Adriana. Madrid is sweet. Also, you should hit up Toledo and purchase a sword so you can do such fun things as scaring the shit out of Lisa.

Yeah Spain would DEFINITELY rock. But, we were thinking we might try and go there during the summer before I went back home cuz a) we might be able to coordinate it with my friend Andrew b) it would be less crowded than during spring break

Also Spain is a little out of the way on the Eurorail unless we made it our main destination.

I vote Prague. I've heard it's a beautiful old city, one of the few not destroyed by the war. Plus, when will you get back to the Czech Republic. -Mary

I think that Mary brings up a valid point. Everyone who goes to Prague comes back with very positive things to say.
I, however, am going to think outside of the box and vote for a city that you did not offer as an option.
Amsterdam.
Yeah, yeah, maybe that's a little cliche coming from a college student (and especially coming from me), but really, when else are you going to be a young and stupid college kid who is still willing and able to "think outside of the box" (if you know what I mean). Plus, the city itself is supposed to be great.
Just a thought to keep in mind. These cities will most likely be around for quite some time, and you will likely have other opportunities to travel around Europe, but your personal experience in any place is going to be different depending on when you go.

Amsterdam is a pretty city and fun to walk around (Ann and I had fun even though it was cold!). Not all "coffee shops" are created equal, so if you go let me know because I have a recommendation . But I'd also like to make a suggestion not on your list: Greece. You'd have to do a bit of research to find out which cities to visit, but I hear it is beautiful there, especially as the weather gets warmer (be sure to check the weather for wherever you plan to go!).
